We have a partially restored McIntosh C20 tube preamplifier. Electronically the unit is complete having been fulling restored.
Replaced broken front glass panel assembly (substitute).
Replaced phono preamp tubes and electrolytic filter capacitors.
Replaced panel lamps and failing resistors.
Repaired tube socket and control linkage.
Cleaned controls, switches, and connectors.
Cosmetically, we were restricted in completing a full restoration. The original glass panel was broken and has been replaced by a new plastic panel. The new panel does fit perfectly to this model (see pictures) but does show the correct inputs, etc. Rather than try to locate a glass panel for the unit, we decided to sell the unit as a functional preamp that could have the correct panel located at a future date.
