I’ve been diving into a lot of ambient and electronic music while walking around my neighborhood during this Time of Great Uncertainty – Cavern of Anti-Matter’s In Fabric OST, Emeralds, Steve Hauschildt, and Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith. It’s not super-distracting music or designed for fast-paced activity, so ideal for walking. Julianna Barwick’s fifth album fits this pattern perfectly – shimmering, drifting, and blissful. She collaborates on several tracks with harpist Mary Lattimore, Sigur Ros alum Jonsi, and beat-oriented electronic artist Nosaj Thing. It’s a short ride at 33 minutes, but effectively dreamy for a sundown trot about town.
