Shipping & Return Policies

Return Policy
All shortages or defects in a shipment must be reported to us within 5 business days of receipt of your shipment. Please use your order dashboard to request a return authorization.
Within 30 days of purchase, we will accept returns of any damaged or defective item. In your return request, please describe the issue and if possible, provide pictures of the defect. We will contact you regarding processing of the defective item. Return shipping will be at the buyer's expense for items that were originally shipped at no charge, where shipping has been paid by the customer in the original order, we will supply a return label.
On non-defective merchandise, returns are at our discretion and will only be considered within 30 days of delivery. If a return is authorized there will be a 15% restocking fee plus the cost of original outbound shipping deducted from any refund for return of a non-defective merchandise. Refunds on non-defective merchandise will only be given as store credit. Returns must have all original packing and accessories.
Records, CDs, Headphones, Ear Buds and Phono Cartridges, Special and Pre-Order items will not be considered for return except in the case of a defective item.
Pre-release orders of records and CDs may be cancelled until the point that we have emailed the buyer that their order is ready for shipment. Equipment special orders may only be cancelled within 48 hours of placing the order.
We do not consider minor corner dings, inner sleeve splits and slight creasing to album covers to constitute a defective product. Buyer's assume the risk of slight shipping wear and returns will be treated as a return of a non-defective item. We can open all new LP orders and remove the records from the outer cover at the buyer's request. All used LPs are removed from their cover to minimize seam splits.
We do not guarantee that you will like the music or recording quality of a LP or CD, and personal taste does not qualify as a reason for return. At our option in lieu of a refund, we may ship a replacement copy of the same item that was returned.
The customer is responsible for the shipping costs to return the defective item to Vinyl Renaissance & Audio. Vinyl Renaissance & Audio will in turn pay the shipping costs to replace the item to the customer (Continental US customers only).
In the case of international orders, Vinyl Renaissance & Audio will only ship a replacement item as part of a $100-minimum subsequent order.
In order to return an item, the customer must obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization Number (RMA#) from Vinyl Renaissance & Audio through the web site. A RMA# must be requested by the customer by no later than 30 days from the time that they purchased the item in question. If after 30 days from purchase no RMA# has been requested, the sale of that item becomes final. All returns must include all original equipment boxes, manuals, remotes and all other items included in the original shipment. Missing parts will disqualify a return for a refund or exchange. Any unit shipped to us with missing parts will be returned to the buyer at their expense.
Once a RMA# has been issued, the customer is to write that number on the outside of the box being returned to Vinyl Renaissance & Audio. In the case of a piece of equipment or hardware, DO NOT write on the product box or container. You can write the RMA# on a piece of paper and tape that to the product box. Each return must include a written description of exactly what is defective and why the item is being returned. Please be specific. For example, if an LP is being returned due to inordinate surface noise, describe exactly where in the record (side, track, minute, second) the defect occurs.
When returning a defective or damaged item to Vinyl Renaissance & Audio, it is recommended that the customer ship using either FedEx or UPS so as to be able to both insure and track their shipment. The customer assumes all responsibility for any packages that are lost, stolen or damaged in return transit. All returns must be received by Vinyl Renaissance & Audio no later than 15 days from the time the RMA# was issued. If after 15 days the product is not returned to Vinyl Renaissance & Audio, that RMA# becomes invalid.
Refunds can take up to ten (10) days to process once a cancellation request or returned item is received.
Used Records
All records are guaranteed to be as stated. We will refund the purchase price and original postage (but not return postage) if the item is not as described. Sealed items which have been opened by the buyer will only be refunded at 1/2 the purchase price upon return. All return request must be made within 5 business days of receipt.
Due to possible exposure to magnetic fields during shipping, we cannot guarantee the performance of reel to reel tapes.

From the time Vinyl Renaissance & Audio physically receives your returned item(s), it may take up to two weeks to issue your replacement. We appreciate your patience.
Shipping
We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.
Notice regarding Overseas Shipping
We normally ship uninsured. All overseas orders of $50 or more will only be shipped by Priority Mail - NO EXCEPTIONS. An additional charge will apply which may not be reflected in the shipping calculator. Please email us if you desire to know the additional cost prior to purchasing.
We will not ship to Brazil or the Russian Federation except by Priority Mail. Any exceptions will be at our sole discretion.
We are required by United States law to declare the value of all merchandise that is being shipped overseas. Please do not ask us to mark the item as a "gift" or at a reduced amount. All customs forms will be filled out at the purchase value. We are not responsible for any local taxes that may be collected.
Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.
